Advantage is the last word in In-Line Multi-Color UV Print/Cure Systems. Advantage is available in models from one to eight colors (four colors standard). Advantage isn’t just colorful, it’s fast, with 6-color rates that approach 700 cycles per hour (because it prints in-line, Advantage can print and cure up to 8-colors simultaneously, without the need to dry and stack between colors). Advantage offers image areas up to 38”x 50” (97 x 127 cm). Its locator system assures high tolerance printing and M&R’s patented vacuum track holds substrates securely during printing and high-speed transport. Since each substrate is vacuum-held to a single moving table throughout the entire printing process, substrate temperature remains consistent from color to color. This provides the stability to achieve extremely high speeds and the versatility to handle heat sensitive substrates with ease.
Optional drip-less squeegee

Built on the technological advantages of M&R’s Processor In-Line Multi-Color UV Print/Cure System and the new Switchback UV Curing System, the Advantage expands M&R’s patented reflector technology by increasing lamp output to 400 watts and adding infinitely variable adjustment. Advantage’s unique reflector system is able to use three interchangeable lamp types (Gallium, Mercury Vapor and Iron). The change of lamp type is automatically recognized by Advantage. Operators do not have to be trained to change settings or move jumpers. It’s as simple as changing a bulb. And because of the reflector’s design, when a jobs requires the curing power of only one lamp, a different bulb can be set up in the other reflector. This allows operators to switch repeatedly between substrates requiring different light sources by doing nothing more than activating the proper lamp. The ability to easily select the proper lamp and fine tune wattage reduces the chance that print speeds will have to be reduced to achieve proper curing.

These curing features—400 watt output, infinite wattage adjustment, interchangeable lamps, simplified lamp setup, and dual reflector versatility—speed setup operations, minimize operator skill requirements and bring the best technology available to bear on each substrate type at the fastest speeds possible.

Advantage’s wide range of features, from the standard up-front microprocessor controls at master control and at each station to the optional Total Recall package complete the design for speed and simplicity in this 21st Century press.
